In a recent heartfelt reflection, director Shoojit Sircar opened up about the powerful performance delivered by Abhishek Bachchan in the upcoming film I Want to Talk. Shoojit shared an emotional anecdote, highlighting the profound impact of Abishek’s betrayal of Arjun Singh, a character grappling with a terminal illness.
However, Abhishek Bachchan did also reveal and incident from his personal life that contributed to his close connection to his character on ‘I Want to Talk.’ The actor revealed that, earlier during the pandemic, his daughter, Aaradhya, was reading a children’s book, and a line was there, which struck the actor.
In the line, it was said that the most courageous word in this word is ‘help’ as it signifies the wish to move forward, no matter what the situation is, and face challenges. This line possibly moved Abhishek Bachchan, who said: “That means you are not ready to give up. I will do whatever it takes to carry on.”
Talking about how the quote stayed with him and helped him in his performance as Arjun in I Want to Talk, the actor said, “He is not afraid to ask for help. He is not afraid to go to the hospital. He is not giving up.”
He added, “Somebody who has dealt with the things that he has dealt with and continues to deal with, it’s straightforward to be fed up after 31 odd years an say I’ve had enough, I don’t want to go no. But no, the fact that he is still at it and trying makes him truly courageous.”
Earlier, there was a video of Abhishek Bachchan and Nimrat Kaur from Davi form promotions that apparently went viral. In the vide, the actor was asked if he helped his daughter with her homework. Moreover, Nimrat chipped in and commented that she thinks Abhishek must distract his daughter.
