G Herbo, real name Herbert Randall Wright III, October 8 1995 a Chicago, Illinois born rapper whose main contribution was to American drill and trap scenes. Growing up in Terror Town on Chicago’s South Side, the neighborhood he later immortalized in his music, he had early street life exposure to the grim realities.

Although G Herbo did briefly go to Hyde Park Academy High School, he dropped out at the age of sixteen to make his career in Music. He started off as Lil Herb and signed with fellow Chicago rapper Lil Bibby under Machine Entertainment Group to release some of the tracks in the 2012 “Kill Shit” project, which became popular through the drilling scene. G Herbo’s popularity soared due to these collaborations.

The debut mixtape Welcome to Fazoland (2014) by G Herbo, dedicated to his dead friend Fazon Robinson, displayed the emotionally vulnerable and gritty side of Chicago that comes to him naturally in his songs. Albums that followed, like Pistol P Project (2014) and Ballin Like I’m Kobe (2015) continued that trend and made G Herbo a bigger name. At that stage, he decided to rename himself G Herbo, and the first album, which he released is the 2017 Humble Beast, and that album made it onto the Billboard 200 list.
